Position Summary

Crossroads’ mission is to nourish the community’s low-income families by providing nutritious food and supportive education. In 2017, Crossroads distributed over 2.3 million pounds of food through the on-site pantry and network of 60+ Community Distribution Partners (CDPs). As Crossroads begins distributing food to Partner Agencies in addition to CDPs in 2019, the Partner Relations Account Coordinator will be vital in making the transition smooth and non-disruptive. The Partner Relations Account Coordinator reports to the Partner Relations Account Manager and is a full-time, non-exempt position. This position will be the main point of contact for assigned Partner Agencies and CDPs. Responsibilities include day-to-day communication with partners, conducting annual compliance audits, maintaining pick-up schedules, updating training materials, onboarding new partners, and more. This key position will allow for food to be distributed through the Partner Agency and CDP Network smoothly and successfully.


Responsibilities

  1. Maintain Relationships with Partner Agencies and Community Distribution Partners (CDPs)
  2. With supervision/guidance from Partner Relations Account Manager, provide excellent customer service to partners.
  3. Recommend improvements to program
  4. Generate monthly email newsletter
  5. Work with supervisor to organize annual Partner Summit
  6. With guidance from supervisor, create and administer semi-annual surveys to all partners
  7. Coordinate Program Operations
  8. Maintain partner files and verify compliance with the requirements of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA), Feeding America, and the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB)
  9. Stay current on all compliance requirements and training from USDA, TDA, Feeding America, and NTFB
  10. Modify partner handbook and trainings as needed and/or directed by supervisor
  11. Support supervisor in production of monthly and quarterly reports, to include forecast and tracking of key metrics
  12. Schedule monthly partner pickups with adjustments as needed
  13. Help monitor partner use of product by completing routine compliance audits
  14. Other
  15. Onboard and train assigned partners
  16. Participate in various networking activities to expand food network
  17. Cross train in other departments and/or job functions to understand all aspects of food distribution
  18. Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
  • One to two years of relevant experience (e.g. customer support, account or project coordination, etc.)
  • A self-starter who possesses a teachable spirit; is tactful, patient, can anticipate future problems, can function in a fast-paced environment, and has the ability to prioritize and switch between tasks
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with a wide variety of people and understands the dynamics of low income and homeless persons
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and build lasting relationships
  • Detail-oriented; strong verbal and written communications to clearly and thoughtfully explain partner requirements
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and CRM (customer relationship management) software
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
  • Personal, reliable vehicle and willingness to visit partner sites
  • Ability to occasionally work weeknights and/or weekends (up to two times per month)
  • Previous non-profit experience preferred; passion for Crossroads’ mission a must
