Rise Together is a new university-wide initiative designed to activate the Brandeis alumni network for professional development and support of current Brandeis Students. Brandeis is preparing to launch an online networking platform which will serve as the core technology for the Rise Together program.

The Rise Together Program Administrator will operationalize, manage, and grow the Brandeis Rise Together program by partnering with alumni volunteers, Hiatt staff, and Institutional Advancement to build and maintain engaged cohorts of alumni and students. This position will be responsible for sustained, longitudinal volunteerism, and focus on creating a high level of volunteer satisfaction.

The Program Administrator will ensure accurate and timely capture of volunteer feedback, while maintaining productive relationships with existing volunteers to broaden, and/or deepen their engagement with the Rise Together program and Brandeis.

Examples of Key Responsibilities:

Platform Implementation

  • Oversee the implementation of the Graduway software program in coordination with Brandeis Institutional Advancement
  • Work closely with the Associate Director of Alumni Engagement to design and create a self-managed alumni to student networking system where alumni and students connect independently based on cohorts of shared interests, industries, or identities
  • Attend trainings and conduct independent research to become well versed in Graduway to maximize functionality of the platform

Alumni Volunteer Engagement

  • Establish and manage a robust Alumni Ambassador program, including developing volunteer roles, identifying alumni champions, and managing expectations of volunteers
  • Train Alumni Ambassadors and provide ongoing resources so they may effectively and independently champion Rise Together cohorts
  • Regularly collect and respond to feedback from Alumni Ambassadors and other constituents
  • Build a network of Alumni Ambassadors, including creating succession plans for recruiting new alumni volunteers and program champions
  • Help facilitate meetings and connections amongst Alumni Ambassadors, ensuring they have adequate content and conversation starters to effectively engage students online

Program Development

  • Work closely with the Associate Director of Alumni Engagement to attract and retain alumni to participate in Rise Together
  • Coordinate with Hiatt’s Assistant Director for Marketing to identify unique groups of students, by interest area or identity, to engage in initiatives catalyzed by the Brandeis Rise
  • Create mechanisms to evaluate existing Rise Together cohorts and identify opportunities to create new cohorts
  • Work closely with the Associate Director of Alumni Engagement and Brandeis Institutional Advancement to develop a plan to successfully scale Rise Together

Program Evaluation

  • Monitor progress of program development to meet goals of Rise Together
  • Regularly report on Rise Together program goals including:
  • Number of cohorts established
  • Number of connections made between alumni and students
  • Quality of activity and connections made within existing cohorts
  • Use quantitative and qualitative feedback to refine program, identify new cohorts, and adjust scalability plan accordingly

Other Duties

  • Train alumni and Hiatt staff on the Graduway platform as needed
  • Collaborate with Hiatt’s Career Development team to ensure alignment between Rise Together to program with broader career center goals
  • Provide assistance to Associate Director of Alumni Engagement with event planning and preparation, identifying volunteer opportunities, and other administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred plus 3-5 years relevant work experience

Technical experience (software implementation/customization), experience with volunteer engagement and management, project management experience, ability to track goals, meet deadlines, and report outcomes

Additional Information: This position is funded by a 2-year grant, with potential year 3 (outcomes based)
