Description

Vibrant national LGBTQ+ cancer network is looking for the right person to assume the role of Project Director. The Project Director will work with the Principal Investigator, Executive Director, other team staff, and a wide variety of stakeholders across the country to execute all core project activities and to recommend and enable strategic enhancements.


Typical duties include: assuming responsibility for successful compliance with and completion of project action plans and funder guidelines and goals; successfully managing project budget; supervising team activities; managing day-to-day project operations; managing recruitment and services for project stakeholders; and monitoring web and social networking activities.


Requirements:

  • Minimum three years successful project management experience;
  • Minimum three years successful supervisory experience;
  • Minimum two years of demonstrated fiscal management expertise (e.g. budget development, implementation and monitoring experience);
  • Minimum four years experience working with LGBTQ+ leadership;
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, written, and computer skills;
  • Bachelor’s degree and five years work experience, or combined educational and work experience.
  • Demonstrated success working independently, managing project details, and adhering to established guidelines and timeframes.


Preferred expertise:

  • Writing and editorial experience.
  • Strong social media experience.
  • Experience engaging and working with diverse community groups.
  • MPH or other health related master’s degree.
  • Experience with governmental health projects.


Salary $65k-$85k based on experience. Generous benefits package included.
