Summary

This position is responsible for supporting the philanthropic efforts of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority and the Gamma Phi Beta Foundation. This role will manage collegiate chapter fundraising efforts for philanthropic partners and administering programs that connect the Sorority’s collegiate chapters to the Gamma Phi Beta Foundation.


Responsibilities

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Supervise philanthropy volunteer team leaders by providing training and development through regular one-on-one calls, team meetings and team calls.
  • Oversee and support the day-to-day efforts of collegiate chapters to raise philanthropic funds.
  • Manage collegiate chapter philanthropy efforts by providing approval for CrowdChange fundraisers, engaging in reconciliation for funds raised through Moonball and other collegiate chapter philanthropy events and providing donation receipts to collegiate chapters.
  • In conjunction with the Accounting department, reconcile funds raised for donation to philanthropic beneficiaries.
  • Supervise the Collegiate Callers program, a collegiate-member fundraising team for the Gamma Phi Beta Foundation.
  • Liaise with the Grants Committee to administer Gamma Phi Beta Foundation’s annual scholarship and fellowship process by collecting applications and reviewing and communicating with applicants.
  • Support the Foundation Board of Trustees in building and maintaining donor relationships through coordinating acknowledgements for donor birthdays and holidays.
  • Support the Gamma Phi Beta Foundation in providing acknowledgement of In Memory and In Celebration gifts on a routine basis.


Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree required from a four-year college or university; and two to four years related experience.


Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of spreadsheet software (Excel); word processing software (Word); electronic mail software (Outlook); database software (iMIS); presentations software (PowerPoint); and project management software.


Other Skills, Abilities and Qualifications

  • Significant night and weekend work commitments. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to include travel or participation in evening and/or weekend conference calls, chapter visits or in- person meetings as directed.
  • Highly organized, accurate and efficient in developing and executing processes and procedures.
  • Excellent writing, editing and communication skills.
  • Excellent follow through and attention to detail.
  • An understanding of philanthropic fundraising efforts is preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize projects.
  • Collaborative and effective work practices while meeting applicable deadlines.
  • Ability to travel as requested.
  • Ability to participate in evening and/or weekend conference calls and meetings.
  • Gamma Phi Beta or fraternity/sorority membership is preferred.
  • Understanding of nonprofit organizations and volunteer management is a plus.

Location

This position may be based at Gamma Phi Beta Sorority Headquarters in Centennial, Colorado, or performed remotely.


Benefits and Compensation

Compensation is commensurate with experience, education and work location. The hiring range for this role is $45,000 to $53,000 annually. Gamma Phi Beta offers a full benefits package with an excellent paid time off package that includes 12 days of vacation plus sick time, personal days, holidays and two weeks of additional paid time off over the office’s winter break. Benefits include health, life, disability, vision and dental insurance coverage and participation in Gamma Phi Beta’s 401(k) plan after a year of eligible service.
