Position:

The Training Manager is responsible for the coordination, facilitation, implementation, monitoring and follow up of various trainings we provide throughout the state of Oregon. As the Training Manager, you are a skilled organizer, planner and producer. You are detailed-oriented and thrive when putting together the many pieces of engineering an event. You are an effective communicator and have a desire for helping people to learn and acquire new skills. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Organizational Leadership

o  Research and identify training needs.

o  Produce innovative training materials.

o  Maintain the development and coordination of trainings across Oregon.

·        Coordination of Trainings and Meetings

o  Work with trainers and consultants to ensure quality training.

o  Identify locations and logistics for trainings.

o  Prepare meeting materials/documents.

o  Manage registration for each training.

o  Distribute certificates and continuing education units (CEUs) for all applicable trainings.

·        Quality Assurance

o  Track attendance and evaluation reports for all trainings.

o  Develop reporting on overall training impact to provide to funders and trainers.

o  Be the point person for training questions and issues as they arise.

·        Contract management

o  Ensure contracts are maintained with all subcontractors for training services.

o  Work with accounting to ensure prompt collection and payment of invoices for services rendered by subcontractors, facilities, and vendors.

·        Other:

o  Participate in program team meetings, staff meetings and member meetings.

o  Represent the mission of the Alliance at events, meetings, workshops, and conferences as needed


Qualifications:

o  Educational background in human services, education, communication or related field; undergraduate degree preferred.

o  Demonstrate understanding of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.

o  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

o  Highly organized, self-motivated, creative and demonstrated value in integrity.

o  Detail-oriented with strong project management skills.

o  Goal oriented and a “quick study” who quickly adapts and adjusts as needed.

o  Results-proven track record of exceeding goals; evidence of the ability to consistently make good decisions through a combination of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment.

o  Ability to think strategically, anticipate future consequences and trends, and incorporate them into the organizational plan.

o  Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, social media and event software platforms.

o  Experience building positive relationships within teams and external parties.

o  Experience in working with people from diverse backgrounds.

o  Demonstrates understanding of ‘Trauma Informed’ approach in gathering training materials.

o  Demonstrates understanding of marginalized communities and their needs.

o  Poses critical thinking and analytical skills interpreting data.

Other Requirements:

o  The ability to travel and work some evenings or weekends is required.

o  A valid driver’s license and auto insurance is required.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to sit, use hands and fingers, reach with arms; talk and hear. Visual abilities include close and distance vision. Occasionally, this position requires walking, stooping, bending and lifting up to 15 pounds without assistance.
