Barbershop Books, winner of the National Book Foundation's Innovations in Reading Prize, inspires Black boys and other vulnerable children to read for fun through child-centered, culturally responsive, and community-based programming and content. We seek an entrepreneurial and dynamic nonprofit leader to oversee the operational success and expansion of our three innovative programs: Barbershop Books, Reading So Lit, and the Barbershop Books E-Library. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Programs will be responsible for developing new program partnerships, growing the program team, and supporting the program development, implementation, and evaluation needs of the organization.
