Catholics for Choice, the leading voice of prochoice Catholic advocacy is seeking a savvy, seasoned, smart new team member to join our domestic program. The senior associate will work with a team of colleagues to raise the voices of prochoice Catholics, educate activists, mobilize the public, policymakers and the media around Catholic support for women’s autonomy in reproductive health decisions.
The position is based in Washington, DC, will include travel and require public speaking to a variety of audiences.
The ideal candidate will have at least a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of five years of increasing responsibility doing advocacy work on a pertinent area of our work. Candidates should also possess excellent organizational and time-management skills; exercise exceptional judgment; be diplomatic and open-minded; and work as a team player who demonstrates impeccable verbal and written communication. An unwavering support for a woman’s right to choose is a must. General knowledge of Catholicism is preferred but not required.
