Our school year at CAS runs from January 7th to November 7th, 2019.Positions available for the 2019 school year: A high school and middle school social studies teacher, primary 2nd- 3rd grade and primary 4th-5th grade English teaching positions. If you are interested in any of these positions please send your resume prior to January, 2019.

We are a bilingual, experimental/laboratory school, and utilize cutting edge teaching strategies to better meet the learning needs of each student. We use Project-Based learning strategies, Socratic Seminars, as well as NEWSELA differentiation techniques to engage learning. We are also participants of the IVECA (UN promoted Virtual cross-cultural classroom program). We have an extensive school-wide robotics program which provides all school members with opportunities to be creative and innovative. Our technology department integrates with academic subject areas at all levels. We have a radio station on campus where school-wide activities are incorporated with daily learning.

We strive to nurture effective communication skills, master core academic content and engage in inquiry based lessons. Our goals are to encourage each individual student to learn the way he/she learns best. Learning experiences and educational expectations are academically, intellectually, and personally challenging for all students.

Our technology department is invested in creating a high tech school environment. We have overhead projectors in each classroom as well as wi-fi across campus. There are two mobile computer and IPAD units for Early Childhood and Primary levels. Middle and High school are involved with the one-to-one program and also have the use of one lab with IMACS and one lab for using personal pads or computers. We have embarked on integrating technology within the academic classes and strive to improve in this area. Tech support is school-wide and you can improve on your tech skills by being mentored by one of the tech specialists any time there is a need. We are working on purchasing a 3-D printer to enhance our teaching strategies. The tech team is also managing the fully equipped radio station that functions as a school-wide media outlet.

We have been heavily engaged in a community outreach program with a local community 2-room school located next to the town dump. We are currently working with other local public schools in supporting their academic needs. These experiences will impact your outlook on life and will create a lasting effect on your future role in the global world. They have made a great impact on our students and staff.
