SUMMARY:

The Manager, Exhibition Sales and Sponsorship is responsible for the sales and  the administration for NECA exhibits and sponsorships programs. This role will collaborate with staff from multiple departments and will often have a fluid workload and set of responsibilities. The Manager will have contact with prospects, exhibitors, service contractors, vendors, and other entities providing services for or participating in assigned exhibit operations/events.


REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

No less than five years of experience in tradeshow sales and management. 

Demonstrated track record in meeting and exceeding key performance indicators in previous sales roles.

Ability to navigate challenging issues tactfully, in deference to a variety of stakeholders and a complex business environment.

Excellent Project Management skills; consistently delivers projects on time, within budget and with a high level of quality and professionalism.

Strong working knowledge and comfort level with the collection, analysis and translation of market data and intelligence. 

Association experience is a plus; including familiarity with IAEE guidelines.

Must be able to function both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required; must have exceptional skills in written and verbal communication; editing documents, memos and spreadsheets; experience using MS Teams is desired.

CEM designation is a plus.


WORKING CONDITIONS:

Travel and public speaking will be required (30% - 40%). General office work environment.

Currently this position is working partially remote due to COVID-19

 

DUTIES:

  • Manages maintains and upgrades NECA relationships; works with exhibitors to gain a clear understanding of their needs and develops customized sponsorship and proposal packages.
  • Leads new exhibitor and sponsorship development efforts through phone calls, email and in-person visits.
  • Analyzes and develops exhibit and sponsorship models that generate a positive return on investment and keeps NECA current and competitive. 
  • Develops and implements renewal sales efforts; upsells to existing sponsors and exhibitors.
  • Prepares reports on current and pending sales and prospects for exhibits and sponsorships.
  • Develops and manages exhibit & sponsorships budgets to achieve/exceed financial targets; participates in scheduled budget reviews.
  • Attends competing shows as required to sell and further develop industry knowledge.
  • Coordinates with Communications team to create exhibit and sponsor surveys and distributes to sponsors after each show.
  • Regularly collaborates with internal staff. 
  • Shares insights, observations and ideas for improvement of internal/external operations with others.

Salary

Base salary will be commensurate with experience / commissions and bonuses based on performance.
