JOB TITLE: Senior Vice President of Program and Strategy

REPORTS TO: CEO

SUPERVISES: National Program Team

LOCATION: Preferred: LA, DC, NY, or Chicago

FLSA STATUS: Full-time regular, exempt

*During the COVID-19 crisis, LIFT has transitioned to working and providing services remotely and is committed to the safety of its staff, coaches, and members.

OVERVIEW:

At LIFT, we take an intergenerational approach to breaking the cycle of poverty by partnering with parents of young children to build well-being, financial strength, and social connections-- or as we like to put it, Hope, Money, and Love. Our model provides 1:1 integrated financial, educational, and employment coaching along with direct cash payments to support a parent’s path to economic stability and mobility for themselves and their children.  We believe that racial wealth gaps stem from structural  inequities that target the lives and livelihood of Black and Brown communities. We seek to amplify the voice and experiences of historically marginalized parents in the policies affecting their lives. We are looking for an entrepreneurial, results-driven, relationship builder committed to LIFT’s mission to help combat intergenerational poverty and expand opportunity for families.

LIFT currently operated out of offices located in DC, LA, Chicago, and NY. The Senior Vice President (SVP)of Program and Strategy will help design and implement a new strategic plan that will launch in July 2022 to grow our reach beyond our brick and mortar sites through two key growth strategies. First, we will leverage technology and iterate on virtual coaching framework informed by human-centered design. Second, we will build the capacity of other organizations to implement LIFT’s coaching model. Priority sectors include early childhood education (including a new partnership with Early Head Start programs across the country), community colleges, and health care systems. And, as we grow our programmatic reach, our SVP, Program and Strategy will also foster policy partnerships to bring our LIFT members’ voices and experiences to the forefront in policy advocacy and influencing systems.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Senior Vice President (SVP)of Program and Strategy will be responsible for the overall program function at LIFT, directing both the program and evaluation functions for continuous improvement of our direct service model as well as executing the vision for programmatic growth and scale.  The SVP will also work with regional program leaders to co-develop the tools, resources, and trainings that will enable the organization to implement with demonstrable fidelity and quality. As a key member of the Executive Team, the SVP will set priorities in alignment with overall organizational strategy, weigh in on enterprise-wide strategic decisions, and serve as a culture carrier within the organization. In this capacity, they will also lead our efforts (in partnership with committed colleagues) to bring equity into the center of all we do. This is a tremendous opportunity to be part of a dynamic team and organization committed to poverty alleviation and building prosperity.
