City Year Little Rock is looking for a Development and Operations Manager to help with the daily functioning of the site. Reporting directly into the Executive Director, the Development and Operations Manager will be an important member of the team ensuring that the site is organized and able to function effectively. This is a perfect opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of non-profit management.


Responsibilities 

Operations: This individual will work closely with the Executive Director (ED) and Chief of Staff (COS) to support site-wide operations tasks including: 

  • Support COS with the on-boarding and off-boarding for all AmeriCorps Members (ACMs). 
  • Support site uniform distribution including inventory, staff/corps support, and logistics    
  • Serve as IT liaison and site administrator of all digital hardware and maintain good operations of office equipment (computers, printers, telephones, cellular phones, voice mail) 
  • Support COS in the purchase and distribution of supplies 
  • Assist in maintaining good relationships with all vendors, building liaison, and facility management assuring best values.  
  • Support site safety practices, including supporting office emergency preparedness planning 
  • Support Chief of Staff in coordinating use of office space, distribution of mail, materials, and shipments; manage logistics for staff engagement and site-wide meetings  

Marketing: This individual will work closely with the Development Director (DD) to support marketing efforts including: 

  • Responsible for all social media content, meetings standards and policies of City Year 
  • Write and produce monthly e-newsletter 
  • Support DD in creation, writing, and updates of site collateral including one-pagers, reports, and other communications materials (printed and electronic) as needed. 
  • Manage and update City Year Little Rock’s website ensuring current content 
  • Manage Social Media posts ensuring weekly school team engagement  

Development: This individual will work closely with the Development Director (DD) to support fundraising efforts including: 

  • Under the direction of the DD, support in maintaining donor and relationship records utilizing Salesforce database, including entering new accounts, contacts, and opportunities, logging activities, updating opportunity statuses, etc. 
  • Support the creation and implementation of the donor acknowledgment strategy as outlined by the development team, including but not limited to, ensuring tax receipts are issued, thank you cards are sent, etc. 
  • Manage the gift/donation processing process to ensure all gifts are acknowledged in a timely manner  

Events: This individual will get a chance to work across all departments in support of site events including: 

  • Provide support to the annual gala and other fundraising events. 
  • Assist with other event planning and logistics, including program events, retreats, trainings, etc. 
  • Provide technology support for staff engagement events

  • Being present and participatory in meetings, retreats, and gatherings, learning from criticism and growing from others’ success. 
  • All staff members support AmeriCorps Member recruitment and engagement, including interviews, outreach, trainings, and events. 
  • Partner with City Year Little Rock’s departments and staff to ensure that site-wide goals are met, including, but not limited to stakeholder engagement, event and service day participation, and cross-departmental committees
