ABOUT RESTLESS DEVELOPMENT
We know young people have the power to solve the challenges we face in our world, but they are being sidelined. We are the agency that works with young people so they can lead in solving those challenges. Whether that means supporting communities to end child marriage or prevent HIV, we work with young people to change their lives and the lives of people in their communities. Our programmes are genuinely life-changing, but can’t do any of this without talented, creative individuals at every level of our organisation.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As part of a VSO-led consortium, Restless Development is delivering the DFID-funded International Citizen Service (ICS) programme. ICS is a development programme that brings together young people from the UK and developing countries to volunteer in some of the poorest communities in Africa and Asia.
Restless Development UK is seeking to recruit an Interim Senior Programme Coordinator, a key role which sits within the ICS Volunteer Development Team, which works to support young people in the UK aged 18-25 through the pre-departure phase of ICS. You’ll be leading a small team to inspire and support young people from a diverse range of backgrounds on their journey to active citizenship.
The successful candidate will have experience of coordinating a project or area of a programme, be extremely well-organised and excel in operations management. You’ll be a strong communicator with both volunteers and staff, and an innovative problem-solver with excellent attention to detail.
