Are you looking for a career to help people and nature? Guided by science, TNC creates innovative, on-the-ground solutions to our world’s toughest challenges so that people and nature can thrive together. 

We’re looking for a strategic leader with commercial experience to act as an advisor on our over $2 billion investment portfolio. This person will bring a financial and business strategy lens to our high functioning team of scientists, portfolio managers, program managers, and forest engineers.

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Resource Management or related and 7 years of related experience or equivalent combination in a private sector environment, such as management consulting and investment banking. 
• Investment experience including transaction structuring, cash flow modeling and experience in securing capital from investors such as investment banks private wealth managers, public pension plans, endowment funds, private trusts and high-net worth individuals.
• Senior level management and leadership experience including experience working with diverse cross-functional teams.
• Experience designing, implementing, and directing complex or multiple projects of strategic importance, including managing finances, supervising multidisciplinary professionals and coordinating the work of partners while meeting deadlines.  
• Expert knowledge of current trends and practices in impact investment in the US and internationally.
• Experienced in partnership development with investment and/or non-profit partners, community groups and/or government agencies.
• Experience conceiving and implementing strategic and creative initiatives.
• Experience negotiating and influencing.
