Pennsylvania United is hiring Canvassers for the remainder of 2018. We are looking for hard-working, progressive people, who are interested in politics and want the opportunity to make a difference. We will be talking to folks about the issues that matter in their community and engaging people around voting in the upcoming election. Canvassers will be responsible for connecting with voters through direct interaction. Canvassers will walk door-to-door to meet with voters, identifying what issues matter to them and completing a short survey.
We are hiring for this position immediately.
Qualifications and Skills:
- We will train you for this position. No previous canvassing experience is necessary but preferred and strongly considered
- Comfortable with use of technology. Access to a smartphone or iPad preferred
- Drivers License and use of a vehicle preferred
- A college degree or formal education is not required
Canvassers are allowed maximum of 37 hours per week and are required to do at least 30. Shifts are Tuesday through Sunday with the following times: Weekdays and Sunday from 2-8pm and Saturday from 10am-5pm. You must be available for all of the shifts you sign up for.
Pay is $15 per hour with a $75 per month cell phone stipend use. A gas card will be provided for drivers.
