OVERVIEW OF MEALS ON WHEELS AMERICA

Meals on Wheels America is the oldest and largest national organization supporting the more than 5,000 community-based programs across the country that are dedicated to addressing senior isolation and hunger. This network exists in virtually every community in America and, along with more than two million staff and volunteers, delivers the nutritious meals, friendly visits and safety checks that enable America’s seniors to live nourished lives with independence and dignity. By providing funding, leadership, education, research and advocacy support, Meals on Wheels America empowers its local Member programs to strengthen their communities, one senior at a time.


POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Senior Director of Meals on Wheels Health, the Business Services Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of operational processes and procedures related to healthcare contracts and initiatives. This includes technology utilization, procedural documentation, support and training; support for proposal development and report preparation.

Full-time telecommuting may be considered.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Support Seniors directly in receiving Meals on Wheels services

Manage ongoing healthcare operations

Support submission of proposals for new healthcare projects and development of new healthcare partnerships

Develop strong relationships with local Meals on Wheels providers, and other external stakeholders including but not limited to healthcare and technology partners

Train and support Member programs in software utilization

Help troubleshoot as issues arise with service execution

Support Member readiness for contract launches

Fulfill weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reporting requirements for healthcare partnerships

Provide administrative and technical support, as needed

Work with and act as a resource for internal and/or external technology/systems, as required

Provide data-related support to other Strategy and Impact and Meals on Wheels initiatives as needed


QUALIFICATIONS OR SKILLS REQUIRED

At least 3 years of related experience in managing complex operations and processes

Advanced oral and written communication skills

Proficient in MS Office Suite, Microsoft 365 with advanced MS Excel skills

Experience working with ServTracker; and Project Management and Flow Chart software (Asana, Visio) a plus

Willing to travel up to 10%
