Major responsibilities:

1.     Assisting with the application and enrollment process, including but not limited to:

  • Completing National Service Criminal History Checks for applicants
  • Maintaining and updating member records, ensuring required paperwork is complete and on file

2.     Supporting in the program coordination process by:

  • Corresponding and developing strong working relationships with Site Directors, providing them with individual support and relevant resources as needed
  • Assisting with both internal and external communication, especially as it relates to recruitment efforts
  • Becoming familiar with systems related to program management, assisting with managing these systems, and providing support to Site Directors in using them

3.     Assisting with data entry and analysis, especially in times of great volume

4.     Collaborating with individuals from other departments who work in teams to:

  • Maintaining the organization website
  • Developing and execute external communications strategies
  • Plan national staff meetings and the annual Mid-Year training conference

5.     Participating in capacity-building projects as the organization continues to expand

6.     Learning new components of program management with the opportunity to grow into new roles

7.     Other duties as requested by the Executive Director

Things that should be in your background:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
  • Prior experience with a domestic or international service program (e.g. AmeriCorps, Peace Corps, etc.) (preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for learning
  • Demonstrated commitment to community service, education, and partnership
