The Cambridge Housing Authority seeks qualified applicants for the above position within the Operations Department of the CHA. Duties include cleaning of vacant apartments, cellars, hallways, and other common areas, etc. In addition, the incumbent is assigned to trash disposal, landscaping, snow and ice removal, as well as standard motor driven equipment such as mowers, blowers, buffers, and other various self-propelled mechanical devices. Applicants must be able to perform regular annual work, including heavy lifting. A valid Massachusetts Drivers’ License and the ability to understand both written and verbal instructions is a position requirement. In order to receive consideration for these positions, applicants must successfully complete a work related mechanical aptitude test.
