Montgomery Hospice is an independent, nonprofit, community-based organization that serves patients and families at a time in life when they are most vulnerable. We employ RNs, certified nursing assistants, social workers, counselors, physicians, chaplains, as well as professional and supportive administrative staff. We are currently seeking a Community Education Coordinator. This position will promote, through education, the value of hospice services offered by Montgomery Hospice. Support educational programs (in collaboration with clinicians) on hospice issues. Support coordination of the Montgomery Hospice Center for Learning educational initiatives. Support Montgomery Hospice presence in social media and the website, supports video editing efforts, the production of online webinars and the production and editing of podcasts. Coordinate the work to offer continued education credits for clinicians. Maintain community outreach database, as well as manage paperwork according to CEU guidelines. Attend health fairs and networking events on occasion.
Minimum Education: Graduation from an accredited program in public health, gerontology,, communications or related fields.
Minimum Experience: Minimum of one year experience managing educational programs required including experience in presenting educational programs. Some experience working in hospice environment a plus. Knowledge of Montgomery County and its medical community preferred. Understanding of website platforms and social media platforms required.
Skills Required: Computer proficiency required, including Power Point, Publisher and willingness to learn other programs such as Suncoast Systems. Knowledge and expertise in audacity and videoscribe is a plus. Detail oriented
