The Young People’s Chorus of New York City (YPC) is a multicultural youth chorus internationally renowned for its superb virtuosity, brilliant showmanship, and innovative model of diversity. Position Overview
The organization has an immediate opening for a seasoned Database & Grants Manager. Reporting to the Director of Development, they will take the lead on writing letters, LOI’s, proposals, reports and collateral materials, create and modify Access database advanced queries, reporting, data imports/exports, ad-hoc and regularly scheduled data extract requests for the organization’s database, cultivate relationships with current donors (foundation and corporate) and reach out to new prospects; track multiple deadlines, coordinate with the program, artistic staff, and work closely with a highly collaborative development team.
Detailed responsibilities include:
· Manage and execute YPC’s government and foundation grants program;
· Database analysis and queries specifically in Access database
· Ensure the timely submission of new and renewed proposals, reports and supplemental materials
· Communicate effectively with current donors and new prospects;
· Identify and develop new prospects with support of the development and artistic team;
· Write grant proposals and LOIs
· Perform maintenance of databases and tables
· Provide technical assistance to other staff relevant to database technology
· Assist with database backup and recovery
· Coordinate site-visits and attend meetings;
· Work with artistic and education staff to ensure evaluations and reports comply with funder requirements;
· Participate in development team meetings to review progress towards meeting the organization’s annual development plan, review grants calendar, and develop strategy for new funding sources;
· Greet VIPs at performances and cultivation events.
Qualifications/Requirements:
· Advanced applied knowledge of Microsoft Access
