●     Coordinate website maintenance—ensure that new and consistent information (i.e. blog posts, media links, job posting, and events) is posted regularly

●     Coordinate the planning, implementation, and evaluation of YWFC events (meetings, convenings, fundraisers, etc.)

●     Manage all media requests and contacts

●     Track and measure the level of engagement across stakeholders over time

●     Support the development and integration of other staff and members into YWFC’s and Sister Warriors Freedom Coalition (SWFC) communications strategies

The ideal YWFC Communications Manager will have:

●     A commitment to the YWFC mission and vision of decriminalizing and decarcerating young women, girls, and TGNC folks

●     Strong written and verbal communication skills

●     Strong leadership and organizational skills

●     Experience with social media marketing, particularly Facebook, Instagram and Twitter

●     Familiarity with project management software, particularly Asana and Google Apps

●     Familiarity with the experiences of system-involved women, girls, and TGNC folks of color

●     Experience and knowledge of apps, programs, software used to design engaging social media and communications content i.e. canva, pixlr, photoshop, etc.
