About DOROT: DOROT, a nonprofit organization, is a dynamic partnership of seniors, volunteers and professionals dedicated to enhancing the lives of older adults in New York City, Westchester and beyond. DOROT’s wide array of innovative programs and services for older adults bring the generations together (DOROT means generations in Hebrew) to alleviate loneliness and social isolation. Compassionate service and a commitment to excellence are hallmarks of DOROT’s work.
The older adults comprising the DOROT community range in age from 60 to over 100 and represent a diverse population. Approximately 6,000 volunteers of all ages are recruited every year to serve side-by-side with DOROT’s staff of social workers and program and volunteer administrators to improve the lives and health of older adults and address the challenges of an aging society.
Position Summary: The Operations Assistant supports and reports to the Operations Manager. The primary function of this position is to provide support to DOROT’s onsite and remote staff by managing incoming and outgoing mail and fulfilling print and mailing requests in a timely and efficient manner and performing routine maintenance tasks. Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Duties involve operation of personal computer, mailing and printing equipment for most of the daily assignment.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a Part Time position. Expected work hours are variable. Must be available for work Monday through Friday and Sunday during the day, and occasional evenings.
