The Recovery Café in Longmont, Colorado is looking for one special person to become our first Director of Philanthropy. The person chosen for this challenging and rewarding position will plan, lead, and direct all fundraising and grant procurement, and will provide leadership in advancing our culture of philanthropy.

Recovery Café Longmont is an inclusive community of refuge and healing supporting adults as they rebuild their lives and break the cycle of addiction or struggle to manage life’s many traumas. We strive to stand in the gap between crisis and stability by fostering community-building and life-empowerment.  Founded in 2018 on the core values of radical hospitality and loving accountability, we are champions for recovery.

Since its opening two years ago, the Café has worked with a philanthropy consultant to establish a comprehensive fundraising platform which includes a case for support, an annual giving plan, a marketing and communications plan, and a volunteer-led Philanthropy Committee that focuses on major donors using donor-centric strategies. One of the board of director’s 2021 strategic goals is to help the organization cultivate and expand a culture of philanthropy, specifically focusing on building the four pillars of philanthropy: shared responsibility for development, integration and alignment with mission, a focus on fundraising as engagement, and strong donor relationships.

The Director of Philanthropy will be a key part of the senior management team working closely with the executive director on strategic decision making to lead the organization.

The Café offers a flexible work schedule that can fit the applicant’s needs; hiring date is also flexible.
