University Behavioral Associates (UBA) at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York is seeking an individual with a social work degree, who will collect data for a clinical research study funded by the Children’s Bureau. This study focuses on implementing a treatment intervention and obtaining outcome data for mothers-to-be who have substance use related concerns.

Responsibilities include recruiting participants at Obstetrics and Neonatology clinics at multiple Montefiore sites, providing brief interventions (e.g., Motivational Enhancement), and providing case management. The associate will also collect standardized participant data at regular intervals, and monitor/distribute contingency management reinforcements to participants.

The preferred candidate will have demonstrated experience with data collection and participant recruitment, interest in working with substance use and child welfare populations, and will possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Spanish-speaking strongly preferred. (This position will not count toward the accrual of clinical hours).
