Position Summary 

This position will be responsible for providing support to the Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement team with a focus on donor stewardship, alumni engagement, and prospect research. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with Philanthropy team to develop stewardship communications to demonstrate the impact of donor support on our programs and to engage disconnected constituents as well as increase our donor pool 

• Work with Director of Annual Giving and Prospect Management to develop and distribute annual endowment and scholarship stewardship reports

• Prepare event bios and pre-meeting biographical briefings for Major Gift Officer and organizational leadership

• Fulfill prospect research requests by utilizing prospect research software and analyzing financial information, news articles and other sources to identify and qualify donor prospects

• Research giving capacity and inclination for new and potential donors 

• Assign donor thank you correspondence and coordinate stewardship outreach for new, consecutive and major donors

• Assist Major Gift Officer with gift stewardship reports as needed

• Work with Director of Alumni Engagement on ad hoc and ongoing alumni engagement projects

• Provide timely and professional responses to alumni and donor questions and concerns

• Provide drafting, editing and administrative support for departmental projects as needed

• Work with Philanthropy team on database integrity, coding and reports


Qualifications

• Minimum 1-3 years fundraising or alumni engagement experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

• Excellent organizational and time management skills, including the ability to handle and prioritize projects in a fast paced environment with a high degree of accuracy 

• Strong verbal and written communications skills

• Proven Research skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality, articulate organizational objectives and development goals and work collaboratively

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, database reporting 

• Knowledge of Salesforce a plus
