Point seeks a freelance (Independent Contractor) grant writer with tremendous enthusiasm and a passion for LGBTQ causes to support our Development Team. 20-hour a week / 12-week initial project for writing grant reports and drafting grant proposals.
Candidates must have excellent writing and editing skills and the ability to manage multiple writing projects at the same time. Position is responsible for writing letters of intent, drafting/requesting letters of support, writing application narrative sections, and application editing work.
The right person is an excellent team player, extremely detail oriented, and quick to pick up new concepts and information. The ideal candidate is also analytical, observant, and savvy with a strong sense of urgency and discretion.
Qualified candidates will be proficient MS Word, Excel, and Outlook and have a Bachelor’s level degree in a related field or at least 3-years’ experience as a grant writer.
