If you are passionate about supporting the social and emotional health and mental well-being of youth, then you share the mission of the Rye Youth Council and this Social Work Supervisor role may be a perfect fit!

At 8 hours/week - you determine your schedule - this role is ideal for an LCSW who is excited to deepen her/his supervisory experience through a supplemental role while growing a practice.

The supervisor will be responsible for the direct care and clinical supervision of the counseling staff including youth advocate and interns, and administrative and clinical oversight of intern program. Requires familiarity and compliance with all relevant regulations and carried out in accordance with the standards of regulatory bodies and of the Rye Youth Council.

The Rye Youth Council (RYC) Is a nonprofit youth development organization that educates, engages, and empowers local youth by teaching essential social and emotional skills through classroom and experiential learning.

The RYC provides community families with the opportunity to participate in our programming, support program ideation, and help bring their ideas for programming and community action to fruition. Some of our most successful programs were created by the youth themselves!

Requirements and Qualifications

  • New York State License - LCSW
  • SIFI Certification
  • 3+ year of supervisory experience
  • Experience in program planning and implementation, community organizing and positive youth development work

Responsibilities:

  • Interview and hire MSW and MH interns
  • Conduct staff training & development as required
  • Provide direct service to clients on an as-needed/required basis
  • Provide individual and group supervision of all program and support staff
  • Conduct Professional Development on mission driven related topics including Mental Health and Social Emotional Learning
