JOB SUMMARY

The National Organization for Victim Assistance (NOVA) is seeking a Credentialing Specialist that will work with the Department of Defense Sexual Assault Advocate Certification Program (D-SAACP). This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the team implementing this congressionally mandated program to certify all Sexual Assault Response Coordinators (SARCs) and Sexual Assault Response Prevention Victim Advocates (SAPR VAs) in the U.S. Military.

The Credentialing Specialist will provide administrative support to D-SAACP to ensure all administrative work is done in accordance with contract specifications and will assist in full implementation of the D-SAACP project goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

D-SAACP

o  Assist with D-SAACP application printing, assembling, data entry daily

o  Screen D-SAACP applications daily and file all new and renewal applications

o  Contact applicants for missing or additional required information

o  Assist with the D-SAACP follow-up box answering emails/fixing applications

o  Answer D-SAACP phone line

o  Provide SME committee/meeting support

o  Assist in preparation and dissemination of Certificate Awards quarterly

NOVA

o  Opportunities to become involved with other NOVA programs as time and interest allow

o  Answering NOVA’s helpdesk, as scheduled

SKILLS

Oral and written communication

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Time management and organizational skills

Proficient in data entry

Professional standards concerning confidentiality

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

2-year degree in social services field required

4-year degree in social services field preferred

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Some travel may be required

Able to lift/move boxes that weigh 10-30lbs

EXPERIENCE

At least one year of experience in a professional work setting

Knowledge of the U.S. Military is preferred

Victim advocacy experience is preferred

EMPLOYMENT TYPE

Full time, Monday through Friday 9am-5pm in Alexandria office

COMPENSATION

$45K range with options for group medical, dental, vision and 401K
