This position performs a wide variety of activities related to the processing, storage, distribution and moving of council supplies, materials and equipment


In partnership with Senior Logistics Specialist, work to:

  • Transport and deliver a variety of supplies and materials between council properties or camp/event locations
  • Prepare, pack and load supplies, materials, and/or equipment for delivery
  • Load and unload delivery vehicle containing variety of supplies, materials and equipment according to pre-determined schedule
  • Operate council vehicle, owned or leased, following all driving safety protocols
  • Perform regular checks on warehouse vehicle for fluid levels, proper tire pressure and cleanliness; report potential safety issues or service needs
  • Maintain warehouse space and equipment in a neat, clean, orderly and safe manner
  • Follow all council policies for use of council issued credit cards
  • Delivery highest level of customer service when working with council volunteers and staff
  • Other duties as assigned


  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must possess valid, active driver’s license
  • Must possess clean driving record without moving violations in the last three years
  • Must be 21+ years old
  • Ability to work flexible schedule which may include evening and/or weekend work
  • Ability to work in a professional environment requiring frequent contact with the public, volunteers, and staff
  • Ability to perform basic tasks in Microsoft Office package, including Word and Excel
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Strong organizational skills, communications skills, the ability to multi-task and the ability to work well in a team
  • Ability to plan, organize and schedule office priorities as needed and as instructed by supervisor
  • Ability to exercise discretion, initiative, and appropriate judgment in making sound decisions and in developing solutions to problems
  • Ability to safely and appropriately operate tools, equipment and vehicle required for position
  • One year of warehouse experience involving the storage and distribution of supplies preferred
  • Experience operating a mid-size delivery vehicle and a 16-foot box truck is desirable

  • Hear and speak to exchange information in person and on the telephone
  • See to read a variety of materials
  • Possess dexterity of hands and fingers to operate equipment
  • Stand and walk
  • Bend at the waist, kneel, or crouch
  • Sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Climb a step stool or ladder and reach above shoulders
  • Operate and climb rolling ladder


  • Working with supplies, materials and equipment in temperatures associated with a warehouse
  • Driving for extended periods of time
  • Position will last from May to August 2018
  • 3 to 4 days per week dependent on delivery schedule
