30,000 people access the facility and participate in CCV programs each year. The CCV provides a safe place for community outreach, continuous education, and recreation while always seeking to embrace and celebrate the diverse cultural communities of Kensington and its surrounding neighborhoods.
In Kensington 80% of the population lives below the poverty level and 47% have not graduated from High School. We feel we can be a staple of change for the young women in this community through the GIRLS Leadership program.
Position Purpose: As The GIRLS Leadership Coordinator you will be responsible for creating an environment for Advocacy and Community Leadership in girls ages 13 – 18. The role for this position is to be a positive leader and mentor to young high school girls.
The mission of the Program Coordinator is to empower, build self-esteem, and confidence in young girls. Through the program you will help young girls find their voice and become leaders in their community. The program should teach them how to become successful women who have a clear purpose and direction in life and their surrounding communities.
Level of Language Proficiency
Fluent in English, Spanish speaking is a plus
