Old First Reformed United Church of Christ is seeking a dynamic individual with experience in church or office administration who excels in team leadership, project management and administrative bookkeeping for a full-time position as Church Administrator. The administrator will work with the Pastor to further the congregation’s ministry and outreach to the surrounding community, and oversee staff and coordinate lay volunteers in achieving those goals.


Areas of Responsibility:


●    Preparing/producing weekly church bulletin

●    General administrative tasks

●    General property management, including working with contractors, such as plumbers, locksmiths, and carpenters

●    Supporting the Standing Leadership Groups and Ministry Teams

●    Office communications, including phones, mail, email, and web

●    Oversee non-programmatic staff

●    Light bookkeeping

●    Prepare simple spreadsheets, documents, and reports

●    Maintain the web-based church calendar

●    Other tasks as assigned


The right candidate will:


●    Have an undergraduate degree

●    Multi-task

●    Delegate responsibilities as needed

●    Lead a team of lay volunteers

●    Exhibit strong attention to detail

●    Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

●    Type and be proficient with MS Office (Word and Excel)

●    Be familiar with QuickBooks

●    Work to deadlines

●    Work normal hours, with flexibility for evening and weekend work
