The Business Operations and Support Services (BOSS) department of the National office in New York City is seeking applicants for a full-time temporary Training Specialist to develop training for the organization’s newly launched CRM platform. The duration of the assignment is expected to be at least six months.

 

OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Learning Solutions Manager, the CRM Training Specialist will assist in the development and delivery of CRM related training. The position will work closely with the CRM support staff, the ACLU Development Department and other training staff to design and implement effective and cost efficient training, including On Demand, Webinar and in-person solutions. 

 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with training team, CRM team and ACLU staff to develop curriculum for use of the Salesforce based CRM system and its related data and applications
  • Design, develop and record on-demand training videos
  • Conduct web based training for ACLU staff
  • Develop instructional materials, handouts and manuals 
  • Training administration as assigned including user support on training and user management in LMS
  • Update CRM related content and training calendars on the ACLU’s intranet
  • Recommend process improvements, curriculum enhancements or new procedures to improve training programs
  • Take on special training projects or tasks, as assigned

 

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of four years of experience working in a training environment preferred
  • Experience with technology training preferably in a CRM environment. Salesforce experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of and ability to apply principals of adult learning to inform content creation and classroom instruction
  • Demonstrated ability to present complex technical material to non-technical people
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with departments across the organization
  • Eager to work in a positive, respectful team environment with high performance and service standards
  • Clear understanding of the role of training in addressing human performance gaps related to the use of technology
  • Critical thinker with demonstrated problem solving skills and the ability to make independent decisions
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once, clearly communicate progress and identify roadblocks and challenges while meeting required deadlines 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong facilitation skills and ability to truly engage and excite learners of all skill levels
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Curiosity and drive to learn new ways to engage learners
  • Ability to adapt and quickly adjust in response to changing priorities
  • Strong client service and relationship building skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, required
  • Experience with Litmos, strongly preferred
  • Experience with Camtasia Studio, preferred
  • Commitment to the mission and goals of the ACLU
