Mental Health Therapist

COMPASS Petaluma is designed to provide treatment to youth involved in the child welfare system, provide a safe and supportive environment in our ISFC neighborhood and successfully transition them to an alternative placement with connection to natural supports. A Therapist in the Comprehensive Assessment and Stabilization Program (COMPASS) guides clinical treatment and provides therapy for our clients in the neighborhood. Therapists will conduct assessments and write treatment plans, provide clinical guidance to the Professional Parents, participate in weekly meetings, connect to client natural supports, create sustainable transition plans and support case consultations.

Responsibilities

  • Complete Comprehensive Assessments for all youth to determine treatment needs
  • Complete Treatment Plans for each youth and help guide the team in creating interventions that support treatment plan goals
  • Complete in a timely manner all necessary documentation related to CCL regulations and Treatment Components
  • Assist Professional Parents, Biological Parents, Natural supports and Mental Health Counselors with developing greater understanding of clinical issues, treatment needs, and progress in services
  • Provide Crisis Support as necessary
  • Attend all program staff meetings, treatment consultations and client specific meetings as appropriate
  • Maintain required documents and utilize document tracking to meet deadlines
  • Conduct individual, family and group therapy, as needed

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
  • Current and valid registration with the California BBS
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Good organizational and writing skills
  • Flexible schedule with ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Valid California driver's license, clean record, and insurability with Seneca's automobile policy
  • Clearance of TB test, fingerprints and any other mandatory state/federal requirements

Salary

At least $60,500

Benefits

  • Starting at $60,500 annually, commensurate with experience +10% salary increase upon passing Spanish language proficiency exam
