The National Association For Family Child Care is seeking a motivated team player to join a nonprofit whose mission is to support individuals that operate a daycare/preschool in their homes. This is an exciting opportunity to help child care providers reach their professional development goals through national accreditation. NAFCC sponsors the only nationally recognized accreditation system designed specifically for family child care providers. By achieving NAFCC accreditation, family child care providers demonstrate they are committed to providing a high-quality learning environment for the children in their care. 


This is a new job designation and is designed to provide tremendous professional growth opportunities by giving the winning candidate the ability to get involved in a wide variety of tasks and operations. The program coordinator works with family child care providers across the nation to process their applications to become accredited. The right individual will have strong customer service skills, have excellent organizational skills, be detail oriented, be able to manage multiple priorities, think strategically, and demonstrate proficient computer skills.

Candidate must be able to work productively individually and in an team environment. This position works directly with the NAFCC Accreditation Operations Manager to fulfill daily program activities and assist with essential program management functions.

Essential Responsibilities



·        exemplary customer service

·        program activity registration

·        correspondence

·        electronic file management

·        interface with association management technology


BUDGET-assist with building and monitoring the program budget


MARKETING-assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies, to include print, electronic, and social media



·        employ strategies for effectively communicating with internal and external customers

·        assist in managing departmental web pages



·        monitor and innovate daily operations for your program

·        maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)


REPORTING-participate in collecting data for agency reporting requirements


VOLUNTEER COORDINATION-volunteer oversite, engagement and retention



·        participate in Annual Conference planning and hosting activities

·        may require travel to the annual conference location for up to 7 days (2018 location is Chicago, IL/2019 location is Orlando, FL)


SPECIAL PROJECTS-Other as assigned. May include translation, curating information, blogging, special marketing endeavors, etc. Special projects will be assigned based on agency need and employee goals and skillset.

Level of Language Proficiency
