About the Role

NHF is looking for a Research Recruitment and Engagement Specialist to join the team! Under the general supervision of the Head of Research, the Research Recruitment and Engagement Specialist is responsible for the creation and implementation of recruitment and engagement strategies for the research department. You will be responsible for the research marketing and communications program. A primary focus in all areas will include increasing diversity within research department initiatives. Our ideal candidate will also demonstrate behaviors that support NHF’s commitment to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and safe workplace as well as a commitment to NHF’s standards of behaviors of Accountability, Collaboration, Service & Support.

What You Bring:

  • BA degree in nursing, public health, or education required. Experience in research, recruitment strategies, program development, heath care, and marketing. Masters preferred.
  • Experience in the health care field, clinical research principles, and health care education. 
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or other languages preferred.
  • Proficient in Social Media
  • Self-motivated, self-directed, self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills with keen attention to detail and excellent organizational skills and proven ability to perform under pressure.
  • Extraordinary communication skills including verbal and strong writing skills
  • Ability to adhere to priorities, meet multiple deadlines and effectively present and explain complex information.
  • Completion of the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative’s (CITI) and Good Clinical Practices (GCP) web-based training program concerning the protection of human subjects in research preferred. If not certified at time of employment, must complete within first 6 months of employment.
  • Able to function remotely and manage virtual meetings on a regular basis.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Good understanding of the organization's overall business and its objectives.
  • Possess good knowledge of planning and strategizing financial and budgeting issues.
  • Ability to perform in cross-functional team approach and job responsibilities.
  • Proficient in using computers with related knowledge of software programs, specifically Zoom, Word and Excel.
  • Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.

Where You Will Work:

This is a remote based position. Candidate will be expected to travel to events and meetings as requested by the Head of Research.
