Description

 The QI Specialist will be responsible for working with program staff on six core QI activities:

 

Long Term Planning; Short Term Planning; Internal Quality Monitoring; Case Record Review; Outcomes Measurement; Measurement of Consumer Satisfaction.

 

  • Assist program staff to meet Federal, State and local codes and regulations as well as Council on
  • Accreditation standards and requirements, including assistance with any related audits and assessments.
  • For incidents, accidents and grievances: Conduct investigations as required; maintain incident database; schedule and chair Incident Review meetings; assist with recommendations for corrective actions; track and report on incidents, accidents, grievances, and corrective actions.
  • Conduct quarterly case record reviews and prepare program-specific reports.
  • Administer consumer satisfaction surveys and provide feedback.
  • Assist in tracking, reviewing, and analyzing trends in key outcome measurements.
  • Analyze program risk management, environmental surveillance and quality control activities
  • Assist in developing and monitoring short-term annual plans and long-term strategic plans, providing    progress reports as required.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports on trends and work with staff on follow-up activities.
  • Participate in program, department and agency-wide Quality Team meetings.

Qualifications

  •  Education/Degree: Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Health Care Administration, Public Administration or similar field strongly preferred. 
  • Years of Experience: One year’s experience in quality improvement/program evaluation and/or administration in not-for-profit settings, preferred
  • Other skills and requirements:
  • Experience working in foster care and adoption with familiarity with NYC ACS and NYS OCFS regulations desirable.
  • Strong skills in spreadsheet, database and word processing programs (MS Office Excel and Word required).
  • Experience with audit preparation, accreditation, survey, and outcome measurement activities very desirable.
  • Strong Oral and Written Communication Skills
