The Mecklenburg County Bar (MCB) is hiring to fill the role of Executive Assistant and Director of Special Projects. This role’s primary responsibility is to support the Executive Director and her liaison roles to the MCB and Mecklenburg Bar Foundation (MBF) Boards. The Executive Assistant and Director of Special Projects is responsible for taking minutes at assigned MCB and MBF Board and committee meetings; closely monitors all follow-up items from each meeting to ensure completion; and coordinates completion of assignments with staff and reports the status to Executive Director.

The Executive Assistant and Director of Special Projects keeps the Executive Director consistently informed of current projects and is responsible for scheduling all calendar items. This individual is assigned special projects based on the priorities of the MCB and/or the MBF. This position provides a unique opportunity to interact with all MCB and MBF program areas, staff, and volunteers. Responsibilities include managing multiple priorities and demands with input and feedback at various levels. The ideal candidate has excellent writing skills, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, works well both independently and as a team, and is proficient with Microsoft Office.
