Bilingual (Spanish) Case Manager at BRC's Boulevard Residence Homeless Shelter

BRC started operating the Boulevard Residence in July 2009. Funded by the NYC Department of Homeless Services, the Boulevard is a 101-bed homeless shelter that houses mentally ill men. The program provides a complete range of mental health stabilization, medication management, case management and medical services. The ultimate goal of the program is to place its clients into appropriate, supportive housing within nine months.
Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Tue, Wed, Thu, Sat; 9:00am-5:30pm & Fri; 11:00a-7:30p
- Intake and assessment.
- Individual and group counseling.
- Concrete services, entitlements and advocacy.
- Escort clients to various appointments.
- Documentation, record keeping and progress notes.
- Psychosocial, treatment planning and aftercare follow-up.
- Attend staff meetings and trainings.
- Housing placement
- Provide emergency first aid/CPR assistance when needed.
- Related duties as assigned.
High School Diploma/ GED required. BA preferred, Bilingual (Spanish-English) preferred. Experience working with homeless mentally ill. Outreach, entitlement, and, substance abuse experience helpful. CASAC preferred. Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, and Excel. CPR training certification or willingness to take training class in CPR. Bilingual in Spanish Required.
