The Winchendon School is seeking a full-time Spanish teacher who can teach all levels of Spanish, including AP.  Responsibilities will include teaching five sections of Spanish in a seven period rotation. The teacher will collaborate with experienced members of the department and have ongoing training in Winch U, our in house professional development that spans the school year. Faculty members are usually also expected to contribute to the extracurricular life of the school and share some dormitory and residential life responsibilities. Qualifications, therefore, would include a demonstrated interest in coaching or coordinating extracurricular activities and a willingness to fulfill evening and weekend duties.

Teachers are provided with room and board, meals in the school dining hall, and a full benefits package.

The Winchendon School, a coed boarding school serving students in grades 9 through 12, is a highly diverse, multicultural community. Founded in 1926, The Winchendon School currently serves 270 students in grades nine through twelve. Students at our school benefit from the guidance of more than forty faculty members, who live on or adjacent to  campus. Single – 85% is paid by the School. Monthly employee rate $91.02.

Employee + one – 82% paid by the School. Monthly employee rate $210.50.

Family – 82% paid by the School. Monthly employee rate $325.91.

Family with two full time employees – 85% paid by the School. Monthly employee rate $271.59.

These plans have deductibles: $1000 single, $2,000 family. The School will reimburse the last 30% of your paid deductible.

FLEXIBLE COMPENSATION PLAN

TIAA RETIREMENT

Employees over the age of 18 may contribute to the plan immediately upon being hired. The School will match up to 5% after 2 years of employment with the School. Faculty is eligible for the Retirement Plan match after 2 full academic years teaching experience, here or elsewhere. After 10 years of service the School will match up to 10% of annual wages.
