International House Davis is embarking on an exciting new stage of program growth, and is looking for a dynamic Program and Outreach Manager. This full-time position is responsible for the building, execution, marketing, and assessment of I-House programs in consultation with the Executive Director. The ideal candidate will have a background in community engagement, think creatively about furthering our local/global mission through programming, communications, and partnerships, and enjoy working with a wide array of constituents and audiences. This position will also be responsible, with staff support, for managing our membership and marketing program, and evaluating their integration in our program and organizational goals.

  • With the Executive Director, develop program initiatives and/or partnerships that reflect and explore the cultural wealth of our region
  • Outreach with community groups, organizations, and individuals to develop and enhance I-House programs
  • Assist and lead in creation of project proposals, narrative reports, and other written materials as needed for press, fundraising, membership communications, newsletter and other content as needed
  • With staff, Identify potential sources of fundraising, sponsorship, or granting opportunities for programs
  • Manage, coordinate and implement programs
  • With support, manage, coordinate, and implement membership events and benefits in line with programs
  • Ensure that all programs and activities operate in accordance with the mission and goals of I-House
  • Develop social media, advertising and other marketing content for events and programs
  • Maintain and update website, newsletter and social media to reflect program activities
  • Develop and maintain forms and records to document program activities
  • Assist in development and implementation of program evaluation framework to assess the strengths of each program and identify areas for improvement
  • Develop operating budgets as needed for programs and events with staff
  • Oversee tracking and attendance records of programs and events
  • Assist in development and implementation of goals and objectives for the volunteer and intern program which reflect the mission of I-House
  • Assess the need for volunteers and interns to enhance programs and mission
  • Other duties as assigned


  • College degree or related work experience
  • Experience in community and/or cultural organizing
  • Familiarity with diverse organizations, formal and informal groups that reflect the cultural wealth of the region
  • Excellent abilities in web site and social media management
  • Must have in depth knowledge of and skilled in operation of standard computer software, Altru database a plus
  • Strong program management skills, three years hands-on experience in program management preferred

I-House has served as a community resource providing cross cultural programs, language courses, and special events. This is a full time position with an annual salary range of 40K-48K depending on experience. Benefits include medical and dental insurance as well as paid sick leave and vacation.
