CPWR - The Center for Construction Research and Training (www.cpwr.com) is is the non-profit 501(c)3 research, development and training organization located in downtown Silver Spring, MD near metro and public parking. CPWR is funded by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and is currently the NIOSH-supported National Construction Research Center, and is also funded by other federal government agencies in support of its construction industry research, service, and training programs.
The Research Analyst position involves analyzing large national datasets, summarizing statistical results, preparing presentations and other graphical representations, and drafting reports, briefs, and articles for publication and dissemination. The candidate must possess excellent writing and editing skills; high attention to detail; and the ability to organize work projects and complete tasks in an efficient and timely manner. Knowledge of statistics and statistical packages is required (SAS preferred). Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, is a plus. Public health training or experience is highly desirable, as is knowledge of the construction industry.
The candidate must have at least a master’s degree with a quantitative emphasis such as epidemiology, public health, statistics, or other related field. Relevant job experience is a plus.
