Description

The No Kid Hungry campaign has connected 3 million more children nationwide with school breakfast, 500,000 families are using our text service to connect with summer meal sites, and more than 10,000 new summer meal sites are feeding kids when school is out, but the work is not done. Share Our Strength is launching a 5 year, $50 million campaign to add 1.5 million more children to the school breakfast program and dramatically expand the reach and impact of the No Kid Hungry campaign. The Senior Manager of Campaign and Strategic Initiatives will manage and support key aspects of the growth fund’s campaign, working closely with the Senior Vice President of Development, Managing Director of Development, external consultants, and executive and senior Share Our Strength staff as appropriate.



Duties and Responsibilities


  • Oversee the tracking of campaign progress and update key stakeholders as appropriate, ensuring key tasks are moving forward and deadlines are met.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for all growth fund meetings, notes, documents, and ensure efficient and accurate updates to the customer relationship management database (CRM).
  • Ensure accurate, timely tracking of all fundraising asks and commitments in the CRM, in partnership with the database manager.
  • In close coordination with development support staff, schedule and coordinate group updates and meetings, and manage fund-related calendars.
  • Manage internal review process for fund-related campaigns and materials.
  • Manage strategy and stewardship of growth fund volunteers, including engagement, fundraising, and tracking.
  • Liaise between relationship managers, development leadership, and research teams to ensure data quality of gifts and donors.
  • Serve as primary point of contact and support for growth fund external and internal events, working with internal teams to ensure deadlines are met and information is tracked.
  • Provide regular support to Senior Vice President of Development, including, management of meeting schedule, CRM updates, preparing briefings, and proactively providing materials, articles and resources relevant to our work.
  • Serve as project manager for voluntary leadership groups, including the leadership council, board of directors, and growth fund executive council, preparing presentations, managing meeting planning and logistics, supporting pre-set timelines for outreach and updates, and managing follow-up strategy and action items.



Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 8-10 years of fundraising experience in roles of progressively greater responsibility, with discrete project management responsibilities.
  • Ability to articulate a vision, push for better and bolder ways of thinking, and elevate the tone and quality of content, in service to fundraising and communications strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written), including strong presentation skills.
  • Strong professional network and direct experience developing and strengthening large-scale capital or major gift campaigns desirable.
  • Emotional intelligence and strong orientation towards internal and external customer service.
  • Demonstrated strengths in working independently and proactively in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment: leading projects, meeting multiple concurrent deadlines, and organizing time and priorities.
  • Excellent information management and organizational skills, with great attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated high level of reliability and follow-through.
  • Prior professional experience using Raiser’s Edge or another CRM.
  • Poise and professionalism in working effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.
