We are looking for a Master Level Social Worker who can provide bilingual (Spanish/English) case management and advocacy services to immigrant youth detained in ORR shelters in New York, as well as at The Door. The Social Worker will work closely with The Door’s attorneys, as well as ORR case workers and clients’ families to support our clients through the immigration process. In addition, this person will connect clients to services for housing, education, pregnancy and parenting, employment, and mental health.

By providing participants with our suite of integrated services, we seek to provide any motivated young person with the tools, resources, and opportunities needed to successfully transition to adulthood.
The Door’s Legal Services Center represents young people in matters such as immigration, public benefits, housing, and family law. We seek an Immigrant Youth Social Worker to work closely with unaccompanied children (UCs) who are in Office of Refugee Resettlement (“ORR”) custody or have been recently released from detention to the greater New York area.

Salary Range: $58,000. - $60,000., commensurate with experience, plus a generous benefits package
