Description

The Washington Recovery Alliance (WRA) works to create a statewide community that celebrates and advocates for behavioral health recovery. Our vision is a Washington State where recovery can be a reality for all. We fulfill our mission by advocating for pro-recovery policy and reducing stigma and increasing understanding of recovery.

WRA is looking for Program Assistant who is enthusiastic about supporting our dynamic recovery-centered programs and events. You work with the King County Recovery Coalition, a program of the WRA, to help with the planning and execution of in-person, hybrid and remote events as well as general program administration. The position will require some evening and/or weekend work. Overnight travel may occasionally be necessary.

To be a good fit for this role you will be deeply aligned with the mission of WRA, you must be organized and detail-oriented and comfortable working with diverse teams. If you have further skills in advocacy or grassroots organizing, we’d like to meet you.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and coordination of a programs and events

• Ensure implementation of program and event policies and practices

• Provide support tracking expenditures/transactions

• Help build positive relations within the team and external parties

• Schedule and organize meetings/events and maintain agenda

• Ensure technology is used correctly for all events

• Prepare paperwork and order material

• Keep updated records and create reports or proposals

• Support growth and program development

• Provide general administrative support on an as needed basis


Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Proven experience as program coordinator or relevant position

• Knowledge of program management and events

• Tech savvy, proficient in Google Workspace

• Ability to work with diverse cross-functional teams

• Excellent time-management and organizational skills

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

• Detail-oriented and efficient
