    The South Dallas/Fair Park Innercity Community Development Corporation (ICDC) is a nonprofit organization committed to revitalizing and sustaining the South Dallas/Fair Park community through affordable housing, economic development, and neighborhood engagement.

    We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to serve as Assistant Executive Director, a leadership role that supports the Executive Director in managing organizational operations, implementing strategic goals, and ensuring mission success.

    Position Summary

    The Assistant Executive Director will work closely with the Executive Director to oversee daily operations, coordinate departmental activities, and support long-term planning. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker with proven experience in real estate development, organizational leadership, and program management.

    This individual will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, maintaining compliance with policies and regulations, and helping drive growth and sustainability across ICDC programs.

    Key Responsibilities

      • Collaborate with the Executive Director to manage daily operations and organizational priorities.
      • Assist in developing and implementing departmental plans, goals, and performance metrics.
      • Monitor and report on progress toward strategic objectives.
      • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal policies.
      • Support the preparation and management of budgets, expenses, and financial reports.
      • Develop reports, presentations, and data analyses for internal and external stakeholders.
      • Assist in fundraising efforts, donor relations, and community engagement.
      • Provide leadership and mentorship to staff, promoting teamwork and accountability.
      • Represent ICDC in meetings, partnerships, and community events as assigned.

    Required Skills & Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Urban Planning, or related field.
      • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in nonprofit management, real estate development, or community development.
      • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
      • Experience in project management and problem-solving in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
      • Proven success in fundraising and nurturing donor relationships.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database management tools.
      • Strong time management, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
      • Commitment to excellence, professionalism, and the mission of community revitalization.

    Additional Requirements

      • Must pass a criminal background check and drug test.
      • Authorized to work in the United States.
      • Access to reliable transportation.
      • Three (3) professional references.

    Compensation & Benefits

      • Salary Range: $67,000 – $70,000, commensurate with experience.
      • Paid vacation and holidays.
      • Health insurance stipend.
      • 401(k) retirement plan.
      • Four-day work week
