The Development Coordinator will primarily support the Executive Director of Alumni Relations. S/he will also support the needs of The Office of Alumni Relations & Annual Giving, and serve as the primary welcome area coordinator. Occasional evenings/weekends for select events may be required. The position is full-time, and includes health benefits.

·        Provide chief administrative assistance to the Executive Director – assisting with the management of his/her calendar; assisting with the prioritization and execution of Alumni Relations activities; and following up with alumni and donors as directed

·        Serve as the primary welcome area coordinator – overseeing guest services, assisting with the distribution of Alumni Cards, coordinating and overseeing the duties and schedules of our College Assistants, ordering office supplies and supporting the Senior Staff as needed

·        Provide general admin support including answering phones, retrieving voice messages, accurately directing calls, scan/copy/fax, preparing materials for meetings, performing basic data entry/updates

·        Help prep and coordinate meeting logistics, assist with special events, help manage the conference room calendar, reserve venue space (campus-wide) for staff, as needed

·        Help process departmental invoices, pay vendors and coordinate staff reimbursements – screening all check requests and purchase orders for accuracy and proper documentation

·        Serve as a liaison in requesting service and repairs (computer, custodial, maintenance); order desktop computer replacements for office staff as needed

·        Work with College Assistants and designated staff in preparing and editing donor acknowledgment letters on a weekly basis – ensuring timely and accurate execution

·        Support committee-driven initiatives as needed, such as Senior Class Legacy

·        Provide assistance with donor/prospect research as needed

·        Support special events, proof read material, generate reports, coordinate small mailings as needed

·        All other duties as assigned


·        Bachelor’s degree; may be substituted by experience

·        At least two years prior administrative experience, preferably in a Fundraising/Advancement Office

·        Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook (Proficient with mail merge a plus)

·        Raiser’s Edge or similar database experience a plus
