Job Summary

As a member of the Plymouth Housing team, the Capital Project Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of multiple rehab/renovation and capital improvement construction projects from budget development, pre-construction and project set-up to closeout, and successful project delivery at completion. This position works directly with the management team to create the best overall customer service possible and support a mission to serve the most vulnerable members of our community. The Capital Project Manager plays a vital role in supporting the physical structures of our existing and growing portfolio by ensuring that we're providing the best possible buildings for our residents and staff.

Job Description Highlights

• Prepares and makes budget recommendations for annual building Capital Needs Assessments for portfolio.

• Manages annual capital budget and provides project management including bidding and selection and on-site project oversight for capital improvement projects.

• Manages larger construction projects stemming from water, fire or other damage from emergency situations.

• Manages energy efficiency upgrades, including grant and funding requests, vendor selection and oversight, budget, and reporting.

• Plays a critical role in supporting sustainability and reducing Plymouth's environmental footprint.

• Provides design review input on new construction and supports the transfer of new development to property management team.

• Provides input on the equipment, materials, and finishes used on projects.


• Ten years of experience in multi-family housing facilities, operations, or development.

• Asset management and construction management experience preferred.

• Demonstrated strong project management experience.

• Budget development and oversight of at least $1M annually.
