Position Summary

Become a force for nature and a healthy planet by joining the Michigan team!  The Michigan chapter is looking for an experienced HR specialist to help build and maintain a collaborative, dynamic, effective, diverse team culture by providing human resource services in the following functions: employee relations, staff enrichment, talent management, benefits, staff recruitment, development and training, organizational development, workplace culture, and achieving our goals as an organization to develop a diverse and inclusive workforce, and to live our values.

This position responds to moderately complex employee/management questions and problems based on advanced knowledge of aspects applicable to the subject area. The ideal candidate will have a background and track record that includes:


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 5 years related work experience in area(s) of specialization or equivalent combination.
  • Experience coordinating and leading projects.
  • Experience responding to HR related questions and managing employee relations challenges and employee/management issues.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: database management and spreadsheet software; constructing and producing reports; data input, manipulation, and analysis.
  • Experience working with MS Office software, including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience appreciated.
  •  Advanced understanding of fundamental HR concepts, processes, and services.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • May require fluency in foreign language(s) to support global operations.
  • Ability to travel.
