An American nonprofit with a program in Italy, the Bogliasco Foundation awards one-month Fellowships to individuals of all ages and nationalities who have made significant contributions in the Arts and Humanities. The Foundation currently seeks qualified candidates for a Development and Communications Associate position in our NYC office. The new associate will work in our midtown office with oversight from the President, and in collaboration with the NY-‐based Program Director. We are looking for candidates who are personable, cheerful and comfortable wearing many hats. The ability to work independently without onsite supervision is crucial, as is the willingness to be a team player. The position will be responsible for the Foundation’s various communications and marketing initiatives, assist with fundraising/development tasks, manage the Foundation’s NY events, and assist the president in working with the Board of Trustees.
A Bachelor’s Degree is essential, with a higher degree being desirable. Candidate should have excellent writing skills, be self-motivated and organized. Candidate should be tech savvy with (at minimum) proficient knowledge of: html, photoshop and/or In Design or similar, mailchimp, and the ability to oversee mass mailing/emailing, various social media platforms, and Microsoft office suite (word/excel/powerpoint). Knowledge of different database systems is helpful, as is the ability to pick up new programs quickly. Ideally, the candidate should have grant writing experience, international travel experience, and be comfortable communicating with Fellows and alumni from around the world. Those with knowledge of Italian are highly encouraged to apply.
Candidates must be available to work three full days a week in the office, 9-‐5pm, and be available for occasional evening events. Starting date is no later than August 1st, 2018.

Primary Responsibilities Include:
Work with President to create/update all Foundation publications and print/digital materials
Liaison with website/database/graphic design team + implementing rotating website content and updates Create and send all e-‐blasts, quarterly newsletters, oversee Mailchimp mailing list
Oversee Social Media (in coordination with international staff) Oversee and update Foundation’s photo archive
Implement special communication projects as relevant
Help designing and coordinating annual fundraising campaigns Managing/updating Foundation’s proprietary contact database Researching, writing and submitting grant proposals
Track and process all gifts and maintain records in database, quickbooks, office files Draft and send all thank you letters + maintain records
Manage and execute all mailings of member benefits (books, calendars, olive oil etc) Track and solicit annual membership renewals and trustee gifts
Board of Trustees:
Help organize materials for board meetings
Maintain and update all board files and forms on the dropbox/server
Take and write up board minutes
Help designing and managing all NY Foundation events
Oversee and help create event invitations, manage guest and door lists
Overseeing communications with Fellows as they arrive and leave Study Center Attend alumni Fellows’ events in NY area as feasible

Level of Language Proficiency
Excellent written and spoken English is crucial; written and spoken Italian, even basic, is extremely helpful but not required.
