Become a force for nature and a healthy planet by joining New York’s Adirondack Chapter team. The work of this position will connect people and nature by implementing communications and marketing strategies that help achieve our conservation goals. This position will focus on advancing impactful communication, community outreach, and marketing initiatives that facilitate comprehension, adoption, and advancement of The Nature Conservancy’s goals and objectives in the Adirondacks and beyond. We are looking for a proven leader and a creative problem solver with excellent people skills and experience implementing and measuring communication and community engagement plans/strategies. The position reports to the Adirondack Chapter Director with a dotted line to the Senior Director of Marketing for the New York Division and will be part of the larger New York marketing communications team for the North America region.


Minimum Qualifications

 

Bachelor’s degree in related field and a minimum 5 years’ related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience with current communication technologies and brand marketing. 

Experience with writing, editing, and proofreading.

Experience presenting to and communicating with different audiences.

Experience cultivating and managing stakeholder relationships.

Experience organizing and coordinating multiple projects and timelines.

 

Preferred Qualifications


Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience preferred.

Experience implementing and measuring effectiveness of communication and engagement plans/strategies.

Experience developing media relations networks.

Knowledge and application of current and evolving trends in relevant discipline.

Knowledge/experience in the field of conservation or natural resource protection.
