The Association of Community Employment Programs for the Homeless (ACE) works with men and women experiencing homelessness, providing job training, work experience and a lifetime support network to help our program participants secure full-time employment and achieve long-term economic independence.


Project Stay is ACE's life-long aftercare program. It is designed to assist graduates of our job-readiness training program in maintaining employment, increasing earning power over time, and transitioning to independent living. Under the day-to-day supervision of the Aftercare Coordinator, the Aftercare Associate’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:


Outreach

·     Remain in contact with graduates via meetings, phone contact, email and social media

·     Manage the accuracy of mail/email network lists

·     Create and distribute monthly newsletter

·     Manage Facebook page and increase visibility


Job Search Support / Vocational Advancement

·     Create and revises resumes

·     Provide coverage in the computer lab during job search sessions

·     Conduct mock interviews

·     Assist graduates in accessing educational and professional opportunities to increase earning power


Establishing a Supportive Network & Supported Employment

·     Foster a supportive community that encourages graduates to remain connected to ACE; develop programming as appropriate to respond to graduate needs

·     Coordinate bi-monthly social events for graduates

·     Facilitate bi-monthly groups in mornings and evenings for graduates, focusing on relevant work-related and independent living topics

·     Address issues related to the transition to independent living including housing, health care, transitioning off of benefits, financial health, sobriety management, wellness, and time management

·     Provide coaching to support in resolving work-related issues

·     Provide intensive case management for graduates in ACE’s supported employment program

·     Facilitate monthly staff meetings; identify and schedule programming (seminars on HR / workplace topics, health care sign-ups, tax prep assistance, etc.)


 Employment Retention & Tracking

·     Track graduate employment data and collect pay stubs

·     Distribute financial incentives offered to employed graduates

·     Provide financial coaching to graduates


Other Responsibilities

·     Assist in coordinating graduation ceremonies

·     Make referrals to and maintain relationships with support services and outside agencies

·     Hold weekend office hours one weekend day per month

·     Facilitate classes for Project Comeback participants, preparing them for the transition to employment

·     All other duties assigned by program director



Qualifications:

·     Bachelor’s degree in any field.

·     At least two years experience in human services is preferred

·     Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and internet navigation; comfortable learning new programs

·     An ability to excel in high-volume, fast-paced environments

·     Organized, meticulous, and comfortable working with data

·     Excellent interpersonal skills and comfortable working with a diverse population

·     A commitment to helping formerly homeless individuals transition to self-sufficiency and pursue their long-term vocational goals
